Hey yo, here’s a new logoset I’ve recently been working on.
I’ve recently been working on the brand identity for Instead of Rent, which is men’s fashion and style blog operating here in the Raleigh area. With the main logo, I just wanted to keep it simple with a slash through the word Rent with the idea of illustrating the whole name in a single word. Since it’s often abbreviated as I/O Rent (like “I owe rent”), I also looked to create an alternate mark that would incorporate the I and O in the form of a lowercase R while also using shapes that could be identified as a top hat and monocle, echoing the style and status of a well kept gentlemen.
